About was born in January 2017 from the vision of promoting the best Ciders, creating a space for Cider education, and providing a place where these Ciders can be made available to all within Switzerland.

What is Cider?

Simply put, Cider is an alcoholic beverage made from apples.

Cider, Cidre, Sidra, Apfelwein, Sauurremost or Viez. No matter what the word in whatever part of the world. It all comes down to the fermentation of the humble apple.

The difference in the tastes comes down to a variety of factors, including the apples used, the type of yeast used for fermentation, the length of fermentation or the blend with fresh juice, a fine art of balancing acidity, sweetness and tannins.

What is special about the Cider from

All the Ciders from Ciderhouse are real ciders. This means fresh pressed juice from real fruit and a natural fermentation process. How it should be.

You may already be aware of some of the mass produced ciders in the shops, however these often made from concentrate juice, or sometimes no apple juice at all. This is then not cider, however marketing is used to give it the idea of Cider. (you won't find any of this here)

Anything added to any of the Cider here, whether this be a flavoring or preservative, all ingredients are natural.

All this ensures you a better drink.
